FAQ
- Where does the money go?
All donations go to 360cycling, a 501(c)3 foundation. We in-turn use the money to fund the expenses for the supported rides. All remaining funds
go to designated 501(c)3 cancer organizations.
- Each supported cycling event/team combination is a separate set of books.
- If the team is not able to provide sufficient funds to make the ride, all funds that are raised will be distributed to our supported charities.
- Small and personal expenses for rides are not funded through this pool. For example, we do not pay for toiletries, sports drinks, supplements or hand soap.
- There are mechanisms for accepting in-kind donations for most things required on approved events; the retail value of which would then be tax deductible to the donor.
- Please take note of the instructions on the donation page. If you wish to ensure that at least 75% of your money goes to the cancer charity, there is a specific way in which to fill out your check.
- Why do any event?
Just like any other fund raising event it helps to have a catalyst to draw attention to what we are trying to accomplish. How many
times have you seen a "Breast Cancer Walk" or a 5k run to support some charity? We use this and other epic cycling events to draw attention and hopefully
raise a significant amount of money for our supported charities.
- Why RAAM?
Simple; cancer is one of the toughest things I know of to get through. It is an illness that effect everyone around the person who has it. Even after
the patient is cured (hopefully) it is not over, it goes on and on for a life time; the fear, the treatments, the doubt. RAAM is the toughest endurance event in the United States, it is
as good a mirror as we can think of that honors the fight cancer mandates from everyone it touches.
- Is my cash or 'in-kind' donation tax deductible?
Absolutely
